Talabay is one of the most important and largest venture in Aqaba special economic zone. The project started in the beginning of the year 2002. As the first integrated resort and residential community in Jordan, on the Red Sea beach.
In mid-July 2001, JPTD took over the Royal Diving Club (RDC). Located
About 2 km south of Tala Bay (16 km south of Aqaba), the RDC includes
State-of-the-art diving facilities and provides convenient accommodation
For its visitors in a 69 room hotel.
Tala Bay is located 14km south of the city of Aqaba in Aqaba special economic zone area. The site covers approximately 2.7 million meters square area and stretches along a 2 Km natural beachfront. Over looking the golf of Aqaba and the Red Sea, and subdivided by a series of sand hills and valleys. This provides panoramic views of the sea and coastal mountain of Sinai.
The American “Ellerne Becket” master planning firm completed the master plan of the resort development, at the end of the year 2000.
Tala Bay has its own complete infrastructure, providing the various hotels and residences with roads m electricity, water, communication and other utilities.
Different parts of Tala Bay project are developed with a distinguished Architectural style, which blends the local and regional architecture into a modern atmosphere.
Tala Bay consists of many attractions, providing its residents and visitors with a wide selection of activities for the entire family.
One of these attraction is the Marina Town, Marina and Beach Club, that are considered the main hub of the whole project. They started operating at the end of 2005.
The master plan for Tala Bay includes five and four stars hotels. With accommodation capacity of 2,500 rooms of different types, which are affordable to all people.
The sports & leisure facilities available at the project includes, a Golf Course, Aqua /Amusement Park, a Beach Club in the Marina Town with a fully equipped fitness centre, swimming pools, tennis courts. In addition, to other popular leisure activities.
Part of the project land was utilized for staff housing, providing the residents with an entire range of services. Including 750 residential units of different types and standards. |
